Our Best Crossfit Clothing Picks

CrossFit is perhaps one of the most popular exercises or sport nowadays. Everywhere you can see celebrities and ordinary people alike becoming hooked to this form of physical activity. And if you look closely, they don’t really seem to specialize in one aspect but they do lots of varied forms of exercise everyday that makes you wonder, what is the goal of this routine? I see someone lifting weights, another pulling strings, and yet another doing floor exercises. They also seem to all wear similar outfits. If you want to fit in at CrossFit, you need the right CrossFit clothing!

CrossFit Defined

As defined by CrossFit enthusiasts, CrossFit is a training program that builds strength and conditioning through extremely varied and challenging workouts. Their daily workout program called WOD (workout of the Day) will test a different part of your functional strength or conditioning, not specializing in any particular thing, but rather with the goal of building a body that’s capable of practically anything and everything. In other words, they specialize in not specializing. So there is the answer to my question. This is indeed a sport that doesn’t specialize on anything!

CrossFit contends that a person is as fit as they are proficient in each of the ten general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, coordination, and accuracy.

The evolution of CrossFit

Coming from the US, CrossFit was founded in 2000 by Greg Glassman and Lauren Jenai. Since then the exercise regime has found its way across the globe where people from all walks of life find themselves enjoying the activity as well as it helped them achieve their desired body goals. This discipline is widely used in the military, special action forces, and even by high profile celebrities and athletes in preparing for their sports competition.

Crossfit clothing

As with any other sport, the equipment and clothing are important factors to consider to be able to perform the required motions well. So if you are planning to try out crossfit training for the first time, you need to have a solid guide as to what types of clothing you need to have to ensure safety, comfort, and maximum performance of each set of exercise or WOD.

You need to consider carefully the types of material used, the clothing should generally be light, comfortable, and provide support to those crunching muscles. Also, the products you choose should be specifically designed to meet your exercise goals, and lastly be worth the price you pay for it.
